Things I built on my own, from tools people use every day to experiments with AI, robots and simulations.
Health
Clixa gives doctors, nurses and students 63 medical calculators, from kidney function to cancer staging, in one fast app that works offline. You can pick a tool yourself or describe the case in plain words and the assistant runs the right calculator for you.
Every calculator is checked against 6,653 recorded cases from the original app, so moving the code never changed a single result.
Education
Children aged about 5 to 10 learn to read and build numbers on a soroban, then add and take away, through short lessons and games. It shows first, lets the child copy, then plays, and a wrong answer never ends a session.
10 lessons and 16 activity types, with spoken help in English and Amharic, and no backend or account needed.
Robotics
A Webots simulation of a DJI Mavic 2 Pro surveying an L shaped solar farm. It plans its own lawnmower route from the farm layout, checks off every table its camera passes over, and returns to its pad.
One sortie covers all 80 tables: 452 m of route, 6 survey passes and about 190 s in the air.
Web
Funkey turns typing practice into something you want to do. You type the lyrics of a song while it plays, play melodies on a keyboard piano, or practice with generated text, and it tracks your speed and progress.
Selected as one of the top 5 capstone projects in the ALX Software Engineering program.

Horan Technologies / 2026
Backend developer, summer intern
A hotel management system for mid-range hotels in Ethiopia that covers rooms, bookings, check-in, housekeeping, billing and reports in English and Amharic. Staff can also ask a Telegram assistant questions by text or voice, and guests can book and pay for a room without leaving Telegram.
Yakal Education / 2026
Lead full-stack developer
Yakal Education Services sells private tutoring and college admissions counselling. This platform is where families buy those services, students and tutors do the work, and parents, counselors and admins keep track of it.
Hakim Click / 2026
Full-stack developer: web app and retrieval service
A clinical assistant for doctors in Ethiopia that answers questions only from 38 national treatment guidelines and links each statement to the exact page it came from. It also transcribes consultations and drafts notes the doctor signs off.
University of Dubai / 2026
Mobile developer
A prototype mobile app for University of Dubai students that puts their ID card on their phone, alongside a campus map, events, careers and everyday services. A companion reader mode lets security staff check a card by tapping or scanning it.
KSK Homes / 2026
Frontend developer: website and staff portal
A new website for KSK Homes, a student residence in Dubai International Academic City, showing its rooms, cafe and campus life. Behind it sits a staff portal for managing reservations and room status.
University of Dubai / 2026
Team member: set up the project, built the 3D lab viewer, then redesigned the dashboard and built the ask bar
A web dashboard for a smart lab at the University of Dubai that shows the room as an interactive 3D model, with live temperature, energy, weather and camera views around it. It was built by a small team for a research project on smart environments.
